18^th May 2026 marked an important day for the Royal Malaysia Police Penang when a triple handing over of the baton ceremony took place at the Penang Police Contingent Headquarters (Ibu Pejabat Kontinjen Pulau Pinang). The new Deputy CPO YDH DCP Datuk Abdul Rahman bin Kassim officially to over from YDH DCP Dato’ Mohd Alwi bin Zainal Abidin who has been promoted as the new Chief Police Officer of Perak State. DCP Datuk Rahman bin Kassim last held the portfolio as Secretary of the Malaysia Police IGP’s Office Secretariat, Bukit Aman Police Headquarters.  YDH ACP Helmi bin Aris took over as Head of Department, Crime Prevention and Community Safety (Ketua Jabatan Pencegahan Jenayah dan Keselamatan Komuniti – JPJKK) from outgoing YDH SAC Puspanathan a/l Wiresingam who has been transferred as SAC (Examination / Competency) Training Division, Police Headquarters Management Department, Bukit Aman. Congratulations to newly promoted YDH SAC Helmi bin Aris) whose last posting was the OCPD of Central Sebarang Perai District (Daerah Seberang Perai Tengah). We wish SAC Puspanathan a/l Wiresingam our Best Wishes and thank him for his past support and services as MCPF Penang’s Vice-Chairman (I) ex-Offcio per MCPF Constitution Article 19: State Liaison Committee Sub-Section (c) (iii) which states that The State’s Head of Crime Prevention and Community Safety Department of Royal Malaysia Police (JPJKK) shall be appointed as ex-Officio, one of the Vice-Chairman of the State Liaison Committee. The third handing over ceremony involved the passing of the OCPD, Central Seberang Perai from outgoing ACP Helmi bin Aris to Acting OCPD YDH Supt. Norazizi bin Saad whilst awaiting the next Ketua Daerah Polis SPT YDH ACP Nik Aminuddin bin Raja Abdullah who has been promoted from his position as the Deputy OCPD, Pasir Mas, Kelantan.
