
On 5th October 2018, MCPF Penang and RMP Penang Contingent visited the Sekolah Tinggi Ilmu Kepolisian (STIK) and were warmly greeted by the Head of Perguruan Tinggi Ilmu Kepolisian (PTIK) Yth. Bapak Brigjen. Polis. Drs. Yudawan R. and his Faculty Members / Staff and Students from STIK. The Penang delegates were given a professional briefing of STIK-PTIK covering its Vision / Mission, Faculty and Staff as well as a splendid walking tour of the Campus covering three major highlights i.e. The Center of Terrorism and Radicalism Studies, Auditorium and Lecture Rooms and the Computerized Shooting Range Training Centre. During the initial dialogue session, YDH CP Dato’ Seri A. Thaiveegan expressed on behalf of the Penang delegates the sincere condolences of the recent natural disaster in Sulawesi Island (earthquake and tsunami) that hit Palu, its capital. He then covered how RMP Penang Contingent went about its execution of tasks to keep Penang State safe and secure for not only its local inhabitants but also for almost 13 million annual visitors to the State. CP Dato’ Seri A. Thaiveegan also shared what were the three main challenges facing the Royal Malaysia Police, Penang Contingent. MCPF Penang Chairman Y.Bhg. Dato’ Seri Syed Jaafar Syed Ali underlined the Penang delegates superb impression of the STIK-PTIK Campus based on ‘First Impression’ of the disciplined attire of the Students / Staff as well as the cleanliness of the facility. MCPF Penang Vice-Chairman (II) Tuan Rosli Mohamed Ali provided a brief update pertaining to MCPF.
