The Organizing Committee of the upcoming MCPF Penang School Program met for the 4^th  time at USM’s Security Department Meeting Room on 11^th October 2018. The OC Meeting was chaired by MCPF Penang Secretary EL Ching and supported by MCPF Penang Vice-Chairman (II) Rosli Mohamed Ali; MCPF Penang Treasurer Harikumar Katherasen; MCPF Penang SLC Member JM Tan, MCPF Penang SLC Member Munusamy Muniandy, SLC Member Ridzuan Md Zain, MCPF Penang SLC Ex-Officio Member YDH Supt. Saw Hock Tek, USM Security Department’s Che Aini and Cikgu Hasnan bin Nayan from the Penang State Education Department. The OC Members finalized details on the Panel Speakers and also agreed that the Program will be focusing on the wider scale of “Substance Abuse” rather than just ‘Drug Abuse”. This more refined yet expanded scope will allow for greater depth and breadth for coverage and awareness to the anticipated 300 students / teachers as the terminology of “Substance” encompasses the scourge of any chemical agent (natural or artificial) that affects the mind and is abusively used covering alcohol, illegal street drugs, addictive prescription and over the counter drugs, other mind altering substances, and tobacco.
