A productive meeting was held between MCPF Penang and Penang State Education Department at the JPN Pulau Pinang office, Jalan Bukit Gambier on 26^th January 2024. MCPF Penang team comprised Vice-Chairman (II) Rosli Mohamed Ali; Committee Member Rahumathullah Ibrahim and Committee Member Joseph Sawaremuthu. A short courtesy call on Tuan Mohamad Said bin Ibrahim, Deputy Director of Education (Student Development Sector) preceded the meeting with Cikgu Fadzil bin Sadikin (Chief Asst. Director of Student Affairs cum MCPF Penang SLC ex-officio) and Tuan Hj. Mohd Roslan bin Darus. The focused topic covered was on Kelab Pencegahan Jenayah (KPJ) – Sekolah Angkat Program. A review and update n the list of schools to be involved will be finalized later. The group discussed further on objectives / criteria for KPJ activities, non-interference with exiting school programs by PDRM PPS (Pegawai Perhubungan Sekolah); MCPF District Liaison Committees and other NGOs. A broad brush timeline was also discussed.
