A “Design Thinking* Workshop organized by AADK Negeri Pulau Pinang & AADK Daerah SPT was carried out on 16th January 2025 (Thursday) from 08:30 hrs – 13:30 hrs at Denterra Cafe & Bistro, Tanah Liat, Bukit Mertajam, P. Pinang. It was officiated by YB Lee Khai Loon, ADUN (State Assemblyman) for Machang Bubok. The attendees included Encik Zulkamal bin Hassan ADO SPT; Puan. Suridah binti Saidi. AADK – Head of District SPT; Encik Mohd Hamdan bin Syatri bin Ab Halim, Asst. Director AADK Penang; Officers from AADK Penang & District; Representatives from NGOs and Government offices. MCPF DLC SPT Chairman Encik Ridzuan Md Zain was among the key participants. The Key Objective of this workshop was centered on the authoring of working papers and focusing on reducing high risk of drugs abuse/menace in Mukim 16. Machang Bubok. SPT. 7 segments of Topics were identified and each team were given to do the tasks with certain amounts of allocation by AADK  Encik Ridzuan Md Zain participated in the sub- team which was given the Topic – “Security (Keselamatan)”. The Team members consisted of Insp. Asrafi (IPD SPT Narcotic Division); Sgt. Jamaayah (Amanita IPD); Sgt. Zila (Balai Polis Machang Bubok); Cpl. Munirah (Balai Polis Machang Bubok); and, Siti Sarah Abdul Wahab, AADK SPT. A working paper will be spearheaded by MCPF SPT and 4 programs will be carried out by this team within 2025. The team shared their strategic outcome at a presentation that was done at the end of this workshop. MCPF Penang is thankful for the AADK invitation to be an engaging and committed / collaborative partner in this quest as has been the journey taken by various Districts within Penang in recent years.
