The MCPF EXCO Meeting No. 1 (2025/2026) was held on Thursday 20th March 2025, 4;00 pm to 5:30 pm at Kenyir Ballroom, DoubleTree by Hilton Putrajaya Lakeside. MCPF Penang was attended by Chairman YBhg. Dato’ Seri Ong Poh Eng, Deputy Chairman cum MCPF EXCO YBhg. Dato’ Seri K. Pulayantran and Secretary Mr. Johnny Michael Tan. The Agenda included: 1. Welcome Speech by YB Datuk Seri Saifuddin Nasution bin Ismail, MCPF Chairman; 2. Review and Passing of MCPF EXCO Meeting Bilangan 2 2024/2025 dated 5th August 2024; 3. Matters Arising; 4. Financial Report as at 31st December 2024 & Year 2025 Budget; 5. Roundup of Year 2024 Activities; 6. New MCPF Membership Applications; 7. Other Matters Arising; and, 8. End. The EXCO Meeting was chaired by MCPF Senior Vice-Chairman YBhg. Dato’ Seri Ayub bin Yaakob as YB Datuk Seri Saifuddin Nasution bin Ismail wasn’t available due to unforeseen circumstances. Other main attendees included YBhg. Dato’ Sri Dr. King Lim Chin Fui – MCPF Vice-Chairman; YBhg. Dato’ Dr. Zamrud bin Misdi, MCPF Treasurer; YBhg. Dato’ Haji Abdul Halim bin Haji Abdul Rahman, rep for Chief Secretary, Home Affairs Ministry, ex-officio MCPF EXCO Members; EXCO Members and State Liaison Committee Chairmen. In delivering YB Datuk Seri Saifuddin Nasution bin Ismail’s address, attendees present were updated on key issues and challenges being faced including Cybercrime / Scams, Corruption, Drugs and Cross border concerns. Malaysia as the ASEAN rotating chair effective 2025 was the opportunity to provide regional Crime Prevention Leadership initiatives. MCPF will continue to work with all relevant Agents. As documented by MCPF Secretariat, a total of 575 Programs were completed in 2024 with the Federal Team completing 30.1% and State Liaison Committees / and DLCs) completing 69.1%. Notably, MCPF Penang accounted for 11.5% ranking 2nd amongst SLCs to Kuala Lumpur. EXCO Member YBhg. Datuk Kamarudin bin Md Ali briefed attendees with regards to the MCPF 2024 Balai polis Awards and the Visits to 55 Police Stations countrywide encompassing the 4 established categories. For 2024, a 5th Award recognizing the outstanding Balai Polis in deploying unique Technological initiatives was also announce. There were a total of 52 new MCPF Applications being tabled fro approval (2 Life Membership and 50 Ordinary Members). Penang state had 8 new Ordinary member applicants within the shared listing.
