MCPF DBD was given the honour to attend the School level Ponggal celebration which is a traditional harvest festival celebrated worldwide by the Indian community to give thanks to the Sun God, nature and farmers for a bountiful harvest at SJK (T) Sungai Ara on Friday 16th January 2026 from 8:00 am to 12:00 noon.

In attendance were:

1. En. Sugumaran Kathirasan / Pen. Peg. PPD Barat Daya;

2. Puan Pathmalosani / School Principal;

3. En. James Mohan / MCPF DBD Chairman;

4. Pupils;

5. Teachers; and

6. Parent Teachers Association Members

The crowd in attendance enjoyed the spirit of Ponggal which SJK (T) Sungai Ara emulated the celebration to promote good values such as gratitude, unity and respect for each other. This also paves the way for strengthening bonds, cultural identity and harmony in the school. This augurs well for the Madani concept. MCPF Barat Daya DLC continues to be a steadfast partner of SJK (T) Sungai Ara in its programs promoting a harmonious and healthy educational environment for its staff, students, PTA and community.
