A positive collaborative meeting was held amongst MCPF Penang / DLC Chairmen and AADK P. Pinang / Daerah AADK at MCPF Penang Office, RMP Penang HQ on 20th February 2020. Representing MCPF Penang SLC / DLCs were Rosli Mohamed Ali, Vice-Chairman (II); Dr. EL Ching, Secretary SLC / SPT DLC Chairman; JM Tan, SLC Member / Timur Laut DLC Chairman; Munusamy Muniandy, SLC Member / SPU DLC Chairman; Paramaguru Balan Moghan, SLC Member / SPS DLC Chairman; Ridzuan Md Zain, SLC Member / SPT DLC Treasurer and Jarmy Goh, Barat Daya DLC Vice-Chairman (II) representing James Mohan, SLC Member / Barat Daya DLC Chairman. In attendance for AADK P. Pinang were Pn. Nur Alisa binti Alia’m, Asst. Director (Prevention); En. Mohd Zaki Ablah and Pn. Aina Rafida binti Abu Bakar. The 5 District AADK representatives were Pn. K. Lalithawathy (Timur Laut); En. Ibrahim bin Mohamad Said (Barat Daya); En. Zulkifli bin Hj. Ali Pitchay (SPU); Pn. Suridah binti Saadi (SPT) and En. Mohamad Akhair Abdul Rashid (SPS). Dr. EL Ching chaired the meeting and welcomed all present with an introduction of the key outcomes for this dialogue and the forthcoming MCPF Penang Program at Politeknik Seberang Perai (28th February 2020) was highlighted. Rosli Ali shared MCPF Background, Mission, Vision, Values and Objectives as well as the Structure of MCPF Penang SLC. Pn. Nur Alisa updated AADK’s focus areas including Schools, IPT, Communities including ‘Kem Pintar’ & ‘Kem Shield’. She encouraged that Anti-Drug efforts must be cooperative / collaborative and not competitive in nature. The group present also took cognizance of MCPF Penang / DLC close rapport with the State / District Education Department and Offices as well as RMP at State / District levels. Concerns pertaining to school students’ involvement with cigarette smoking, increase in vaping and syabu addiction was also discussed. 5 Focus areas within the State of Penang was shared whilst aspects of possibilities with Community Policing personnel, already available School literature from MCPF Penang on Anti-Drugs, AADK’s working relationship with MBKK, MYALERT Program, ‘7 Steps for a Drug-free Workspace for Industries was also discussed.
