A Collaborative Meeting was held on Wednesday 9^th October 2024 between MCPF South Seberang Perai DLC, PDRM IPD Seberang Perai Selatan and AADK SPS to discuss and formulate plans for a Community Outreach Program “Talk to Us” at IPD SPS, Jawi. Attendees from PDRM were DSP Norazmi bin Abd. Ghapar (Deputy OCPD, SPS); ASP Nazrulhisham b. Musa (SIO JSJ IPD SPS); SI J. Kanagasundaram (BPJKK IPD SPS); and SM R. Gopalakrishnan (T/KPB Batu Kawan). MCPF SPS DLC in attendance included its Chairman Mr. Paramaguru Balan Moghan; Secretary Mr. Jarmy Goh Jiun Ming; and Committee Member Mr. Komagan Lingam. AADK SPS attendees were its SPS District Head Encik Ku Muhaizat bin Ku Malim and Prevention Unit Head Encik Ahmad Taridi bin Md. Arifin. The Main Agenda covered the Proposed Program ‘Talk to Us’ to be held at Design Village in a weekend to be determined within November 2024 tentatively from 11:00 am to 2:00 pm. The key objective of this program is to enhance public communication and interaction supported by Program Activities encompassing booth exhibitions on anti-drug, narcotics, and SCAM awareness. The SPS OCPD will conduct a talk on SCAM awareness. Key Focus areas will include awareness on crimes, narcotics, and scams. It is envisaged that collaboration will be sought with MCPF, AADK, and Lions at the district level. Meeting participants also reviewed past activities that had been carried out by PDRM including talks on crime prevention for tenants. Mr. Ramm highlighted ongoing initiatives such as launching SCAM QR code. The SPS Deputy OCPD will discuss program details with Design Village. Stay tuned for more exciting updates.
