A Courtesy Visit to the New Police District (OCPD) of Seberang Perai Selatan (SPS) District by MCPF SPS DLC was carried out on 28 May 2025 (Wednesday) from 9:30AM until completion at the Main Meeting Room, IPD Seberang Perai Selatan. This courtesy visit and engagement session was held between the Royal Malaysia Police (PDRM) Seberang Perai Selatan (SPS) and the Malaysia Crime Prevention Foundation (MCPF) SPS District with the aim being to fostering closer ties and cooperation in the field of crime prevention and community safety.
PDRM SPS in Attendance were:

Mohd Saifulizam bin Mohd Marzuki – Acting Chief, Sungai Acheh.
MCPF SPS Representatives were: 1. Mr. M. Paramaguru Balan – Chairman, MCPF SPS DLC; 2. Mr. Arumugam A/L Rajoo – Vice-Chairman (II); 3. Mr. Ng Seng Hing – Treasurer; 4. Mr. Komagan a/l Lingam – DLC Member; 5. Mr. Cheong Yu Hoo – DLC Member; 6. Mr. Ooi Say Chong – DLC Member; and, 7. Ms. Lee Hooi Pheng – DLC Member

Meeting Objective & Outcome:

The meeting served as an introductory and strategic engagement between the new OCPD and the MCPF DLC Members. Discussions focused on collaborative approaches to strengthening public safety, reducing crime rates, and supporting offender rehabilitation programs. The OCPD expressed appreciation for MCPF’s ongoing support in community outreach, awareness campaigns, and crime prevention efforts. Both parties agreed to sustain and expand cooperative initiatives for the benefit of the SPS community. It was also noteworthy that Mr. M. Paramaguru Balan in his capacity as the MCPF Seberang Perai Selatan District Liaison Committee Chairman handed over the Official Letters of Appointment to YDH Supt. Jay January Siowou as the SPS DLC Advisor. ASP Mazira binti Ismail –SPT Division Head of Crime Prevention and Community Safety (KBPJKK) received her Appointment Letter as the new Vice-Chairman (I) ex-officio of MCPF SPT DLC. Additionally, both Mr. Cheong Yu Hoo and Mr. Ooi Say Chong received their Letters of Appointment as MCPF SPS DLC Committee Members. Congratulations to all.
