
The Batu Ferringhi Police Station was Officially opened by YDH CP Dato’ Seri A. Thaiveegan, Chief Police Officer of Penang on 15th November 2018. The building, completed in 2010 and now equipped with state of the art CCTV monitors is a vital cog in ensuring the peace and security of the Tourist Belt of Batu Ferringhi in North Penang Island. Previously administered by the Tanjung Tokong Police Station, it is now one of the more modernly equipped Police Station within Penang State.
CP Dato’ Seri A. Thaiveegan stated that “Keeping Tourism Belt Safe is a Priority” at this event that was also attended by YDH SAC Dato’ Abdul Majid bin Mohd Ali, Deputy Director of Management (Administration), Bukit Aman representing the IGP; YDH DCP Dato’ Roslee bin Chik, Deputy CPO of Penang; Y.Bhg. Dato’ AR Yew Tung Seang, City Council Mayor of Penang; Y.Bhg Dato’ Seri Syed Jaafar Syed Ali, MCPF Penang Chairman; Heads of Departments from Governmental Agencies; OCPDs, Senior RMP Staff Officers; Management / Leaders of the Hotel Industry; Community Volunteer Organizations and Members of the Media. An estimated crowd of over 500 were present. Other representatives from MCPF Penang included Y.Bhg. Dato’ K. Pulayantran, Deputy Chairman; Harikumar Katherasen, Treasurer; and SLC Members Munusamy Muniandy, Paramguru Balan Moghan and Syed Abdul Rahman Syed Jaafar.
