YDH CP Dato’ Narenasagaran Thangaveloo, Chief Police Officer of Penang officiated at the launch of “Ops Selamat 2019” in conjunction with the Chinese Lunar New Year 2019 at Juru Toll (North Direction) Plaza on 4^th February 2019. In attendance from RMP Penang Contingent were YDH DCP Dato’ Roslee bin Chik, Deputy CPO of Penang; YDH SAC Dato’ Mohamad Anil Shah, Head of Crime Prevention and Community Safety Department and YDH Supt. Wan Shaharudin bin Wan Omar, Head of Traffic Investigation and Enforcement Department / Chairman of the Working Committee of Ops Selamat 14/2019. Also in attendance was Y.Bhg Encik Mohd Fadzil bin Shaari – Section Manager “N3”, Project Lebuhraya Usahasama Berhad; other RMP Heads of Department; Heads of RMP Formation; OCPDs; External Agencies like the Road Transportation Department, Fire and Rescue Department, APAM, St. John’s Ambulance Brigade, JKJR (Jabatan Keselamatan Jalan Raya), Planning Department and Press / Media. YDH CP Dato’ Naren advised the public on the safety of property including vacated houses during the festive period and the importance of minimizing of traffic accidents. He encouraged the public to use the VSP Apps as the extra eyes and ears of the RMP. He also launched Ops Selamat with the flagging off of convoy of Police Vehicles.
