21^st July 2019 saw the Milestone 6,000 Volunteer Smartphone Patrol (VSP) New Registrants per 100k (Penang State) population being surpassed. This statistical achievement clocked from 25^th March 2017 until 21^st July 2019 could not have been achieved without the focus, dedication and determination of RMP Penang Contingent in particular the Crime Prevention and Community Safety Department (Jabatan Pencegahan Jenayah dan Keselamatan Komuniti – JPJKK) ably helmed by YDH SAC Dato’ Mohamad Ani Shah and his Senior Officers and Ground level staff. Undoubtedly, various NGOs, Public Bodies, Private Enterprises and Community Organizations at large played a key role. Nationwide, in absolute numbers Selangor, Penang and Johor continues to take the top 3 places with only Penang and Selangor having breached the 100k level. Measured in terms of VSP membership per 100,000k population Penang (6,012) far outstrips second placed Negri Sembilan (3,604). MCPF Penang (SLC and DLCs) are steadfastly behind JPJKK / BPJKK Daerah) to continuously keep the Penang flag flying.
