
RMP Penang Contingent hosted two back-to-back high profile visitors on 4th March 2019. YDH CP Dato’ Narenasagaran Thangaveloo, Chief Police Officer of Penang was accompanied by YDC SAC Dato’ Mohamad Anil Shah (Head of Crime Prevention and Community Security Department cum MCPF Penang Vice-Chairman (I) and YDH Supt. Nermaljit Singh (Staff Officer, CPCSD – Coordinating Supporting Source) to welcome the visitors from Penang Port Sdn. Bhd. comprising C.K. Mahoharan, Head of Security, Safety & Emergency Services; Yahaya Abdul Malik, Head of Surveillance & Regulatory Affairs and Rajendran Rajagopal, Security Manager. This successful meeting covered numerous security processes and counter-measures that entails the working relationship of RMP and Penang Port Sdn. Bhd. – from Community Policing to Drug Trafficking, Smuggling of Goods, Vehicle Theft movements, e-Bicycle and Walkabout programs, compliance to SOPs, illegal parking, heavy traffic and tourists during cruise ship arrivals, Mobile Police Beat Stations and use of RMP MPVs / URBs at the Penang Port and future development like the development of new Port Terminal. All in, a really positive discussion.
