The Lions Club of Penang paid a courtesy visit to YDH CP Dato’ A. Thaiveegan, Chief Police Officer of Penang on the morning of 10^th July 2018 at Bilik Mesyuarat Eksekutif, IPK P. Pinang. Accompanying the PDRM Penang host were YDH SAC Dato’ Mohamad Anil Shah, Head of Department, Crime Prevention and Community Safety (cum MCPF Penang Vice-Chairman (I) as well as YDH Supt. Saw Hock Tek, PT Kepolisan Komuniti JPJKK IPK, P. Pinang cum MCPF Penang SLC Ex-Officio Member.

Leading the Lions Club was Lion Choo Eng Hin, District Cabinet Officer PDRM Region 1 Lions Club of Tanjung. Other members of the Lions Club entourage were Lion William Lim, District Governor; Lion Dato’ Yeah, 2^nd Vice District Governor; Lion Chua Yu Beng, Zone 1 Chairperson, Lions Club of Georgetown City; Lion Leslie Chea Lok Ngai, Zone Chairperson, Lions Club of Penang KOMTAR; Lion Raymin Yew Yung Shen, Zone 3 Chairperson, Lions Club of Tanjung Star; Lion Foo Kong Meng, Zone 4 Chairperson, Lions Club of George Town; Lion May Lee Hooi Pheng, Zone 5 Chairperson, Lions Club of Bayan Baru and Lion Felix Chuah, District Governor Officer. YDH CP Dato’ A. Thaiveegan addressed the Crime situation in Penang, Drug menace and its key concerns, various cases of fraud / ‘Get Rich Quickly’ / Macau Scam and their modus operandi as well as welcoming the collaborative support with Lions Club in Crime Prevention efforts. Lion Choo Eng Hin and Lion Felix Chuah are both MCPF Penang SLC Members and this bodes well for continuity of future Crime Prevention collaborative efforts with between Lions Club of Penang together with PDRM and MCPF Penang SLC / DLCs.
