It was indeed fitting that Members of Rukun Tetangga were appreciated in a special Penang Rukun Tetangga Appreciation Night held at Dewan Midtown PERDA, Tasik Gelugor, SPU on 22^nd September 2018. The Deputy Chief Minister I of Penang YB Dato’ Ir. Hj Ahmad Zakiyuddin bin Abdul Rahman officiated this meaningful event attended by over 1,000 members of Rukun Tetangga from the whole Penang State. Among the VIPs in attendance were Y.Bhg. Datuk Baharin bin Idris, Director-General of National Unity and Integration; Y.Bhg. Dato’ Dr. Mohamad Farazi bin Johari – representing the Penang State Secretary; YDH SAC Dato’ Mohamad Anil Shah, Head of Department of Crime Prevention and Community Security, RMP Penang cum MCPF Penang Vice-Chairman (I); Encik Saini bin Bidin, Director, National Unity and Integration Department, Penang; YDH Supt. Siti Nor Salawati bt Saad, Deputy OCPD of Seberang Perai Utara; Puan Hanita bt Ahmad, National Unity and Integration Officer of SPU and ASP Mohamad Ilias bin Jamaludin of CPCSD SPU District.

Sited amongst the RT community was our very own Tuan Ridzuan Md Zain – MCPF Penang SLC Member / MCPF North-East DLC Member. This event helped underline how the ‘muhibah’ spirit, unity, respect, tolerance can enhance the close relationship and liaison between various members of the community. MCPF Penang salutes all Rukun Tetangga awesome volunteers.
