Penang State’s efforts to battle the Drug menace clogged an important milestone on 5^th August 2016.  YAB Tuan Lim Guan Eng, Chief Minister of Penang launched the “Penang Drug Prevention Initiative” (“PDPI”) at KOMTAR Level 3 Concourse.  MCPF Penang is proud that its Deputy Chairman Associate Professor Dr. P. Sundramoorthy was the Organizing Chairman of this initiative.  He delivered the Welcoming Address which was followed by the Official Launching and Address by YAB Tuan Lim Guan Eng.  MCPF Penang Chairman Dato’ Syed Jaafar Syed Ali joined the accompanying VIPs which included YB Dato’ Haji Mohd. Rashid bin Hasnon (Deputy Chief Minister I, Penang); YB Prof. Dr. P. Ramasamy a/l Palanisamy (Deputy Chief Minister II, Penang) and YB Phee Boon Poh (EXCO Penang, Chairman – Welfare, Caring Society and Environmental Committee). The Ceremony encompassed the launching of the PDPI Logo, Video and Website.  MCPF Penang SLC Members in attendance included Vice-Chairman (I) YDH SAC Abdul Rahman bin Ibrahim (Head of Department, Crime Prevention and Community Safety Department, IPK, Penang), Rahumatullah Ibrahim, EL Ching, Rosli Mohamed Ali, Munusamy Muniandy, Harikumar Katherasen and JM Tan.
