MCPF Penang State Liaison Committee extends its heartiest congratulations to three of its SLC Members and an ex-officio SLC Member who were recipients of the Pingat Kelakuan Terpuji (P.K.T.) [Distinguished Conduct Medal] bestowed by Yang di-Pertua Negeri Pulau Pinang Tun Dato’ Seri Utama (Dr.) Haji Abdul Rahman bin Haji Abbas in conjunction with TYT’s 82nd Birthday in July 2020. The SLC Members who were the recipients were Harikumar Katherasen (Treasurer), Paramaguru Balan Moghan (SPS DLC Chairman) and Johnny Michael Tan (Timur Laut DLC Chairman). Kudos also goes out to Puan Elmariah Chung (AADK Penang State Director, also MCPF Penang ex-officio SLC Member) who was similarly recognized in an event at Dewan Sri Pinang on 10th March 2021. MCPF Penang Chairman Y.Bhg. Dato’ Seri Syed Jaafar bin Syed Ali is elated that not only has its own MCPF Penang SLC Members been recognized but also key collaborative partners from the Royal Malaysia Police in the past 12 years of being recommended and deservingly recognized for their efforts in promoting Crime Prevention Awareness to the Penang community. These have included from PDRM past CPOs Dato’ Wira Chuah Ghee Lye and Dato’ Seri A. Thaiveegan as well as JPJKK’s Supt. Nirmaljit Singh. Amongst MCPF Penang own past recipients have included Assoc. Professor Dato’ Dr. P. Sundramoorthy, Rosli Ali and Dr. EL Ching.
