MCPF Penang SLC paid a Courtesy Visit and held a meeting with Jabatan Pendidikan Negeri Pulau Pinang (JPNPP) at JPNPP building Jalan Bukit Gambir on 21^st July 2022. Chairman Y.Bhg. Dato’ Ong Poh Eng was accompanied by Deputy Chairman Y.Bhg. Dato’ Seri K. Pulayantran, Secretary JM Tan, Treasurer Harikumar Katherasen, Y.Bhg. Maj. (H) Dato’ M. Kaleessvaran (SLC Member), Felix Chuah Gim Chuan (SLC Member cum Timur Laut DLC Chairman), Paramaguru Balan Moghan (SLC Member cum SPS DLC Chairman), Ridzuan Md Zain (SLC Member cum SPT DLC Chairman), Munusamy Muniandy (SLC Member cum SPU DLC Chairman) and Yazid Razali (SLC Member). Hosting the guests from MCPF were Hj. Wan Sajiri bin Wan Hassan (Deputy Director, Planning & Management Sector / Acting Director, JPNPP), Hj. Zulkafli bin Kamarudin (Ketua Penolong Pengarah, Planning & Management Sector) and Cikgu Sohire bin Yusof (Ketua Penolong Pengarah, Pupil Development Sector cum ex-Officio MCPF SLC [JPNPP]). The Agenda included Welcome and Overview of JPNPP by Hj. Wan Sajiri bin Wan Hassan, Address by Dato’ Ong Poh Eng, Overview of MCPF by JM Tan, General Discussion and Group Photo. Key outcomes included a better understanding of the total number of schools in Penang (State and Districts), highlighted message by Dato’ Ong Poh Eng that Crime Prevention Awareness programs with Schools needed to high impact and be more effective; the need for close collaboration / cooperation with each District between JPNPP and MCPF; a better insight into the top three challenges / issues in schools by Hj. Wan Sajiri bin Wan Hassan; the protocol for roll out of Crime Prevention Awareness within Schools and the need for JPNPP to be more aware of MCPF.
