MCPF Seberang Perai Tengah DLC Chairman Ridzuan Md Zain was accompanied by its Vice-Chairman (II) Thomas Goh Eng Wah to participate in a Parenting Skills Program “Ibubapa Cool Anak Hebat” at SMK Mengkuang, Bukit Mertajam, SPT on 28^th October 2023. In attendance were the School Principal Encik Mazlan bin Ahmad Sabari; School Teachers and Parents / Guardians of School Students. The three speakers and their respective topics were: 1. Ridzuan Md Zain who spoke on “Personality Catalyst of Parenting” (Siahsah pemangkin kemanjadian keibubapaan); 2. Afizi Hafiz bin Abd. Halim, Registered Counsellor, PERDA who shared his thoughts the Main Theme “Ibubapa Cool Anak Hebat”; and, Zulfadli Ahmad bin Ahmad Zakaria, AADK Officer, Penang who talked about “Better to Prevent” (Lebih Baik Cegah). This program is a jointly organized by MCPF SPT DLC, AADK Penang and AADK SPT District with the support of the Principal / Staff / PIBG of SMK Mengkuang, Bukit Mertajam. The key objectives of this program included knowledge and awareness on contemporary issues with regards to the misuse of social media; provide awareness and skills to parents for growing up school students; sharing awareness on the latest trends and scenario inflicting drug misuse / abuse.
