MCPF Seberang Perai Selatan DLC Chairman Paramaguru Balan Moghan was invited to attend and support a Community Engagement Program at Taman Widuri, SPS on 6^th January 2024. This community outreach night program was in cognizance with Ketua Bahagian PJKKD SPS, MCPF SPS and Sg. Bakap Police Station, SPS together with the Neighbourhood Watch (Voluntary Team) Inauguration of Taman Widuri Community, Sungai Bakap. PDRM attendees included Insp. Muhammad Helmi bin Zainudin @Zaiton (KBPJKKD IPS SPS cum MCPF SPS DLC Vice-Chairman (I) ex-officio); SI Aznol bin Othman (OCS Balai Polis Sungai Bakap); Sjn. Nur Syuhada Abdullah @Winne (Balai Polis Sg. Bakap and Kpl. Mohd Hishamuddin bin Mohd Ariffin (Balai Polis Sg. Bakap). Public Attendees included Encik Norhiesam bin Ismail, Chairman of Sports & Recreation Club, Nibong Tebal Parliamentary Community; Encik Amran bin Mat Ariffin, Chairman of Taman Widuri Neighbourhood Watch; Encik Mohd Hussein bin Abd Hamid, Chairman of Taman Widuri Mosque and 60 other public individuals of the community and other Taman Widuri residence. The opening remarks and inauguration was by Insp. Muhammad Helmi bin Zainuddin @Zaiton followed by Launch gimmick (Distribution of SRS Approval Certificates; Distribution of vests to Taman Widuri SRS patrol members and an SRS patrol of the surrounding area. This short night program demonstrated the police continuous engagement with the community to explain crime prevention measures and the roles of each layer and facet of society. Information regarding crime prevention is the initial catalyst to curb the increase in SCAM, crimes, drugs, illegal racing and others specifically within the SPS area. The community need to collaborate was eyes and ears of the police by reporting any criminal incidents occurring within their respective areas.
