MCPF Seberang Perai Utara DLC Chairman Munusamy Muniandy led his SPU DLC Members to a pay a Courtesy Visit to OCPD SPU at IPD SPU, Kepala Batas, Nibong Tebal on 6^th March 2024. YDH ACP Mohd Asri bin Shafie, OCPD – SPU was accompanied by YDH DSP Hassan bin Mohd Salih, Head of Crime Prevention and Community Safety Division, SPU and YDH ASP Norfaisal bin Mohd, Head of MPV Division, SPU. MCPF SPU DLC Members present included Mr. Haribalan Gopal, Secretary; Encik Marzuki bin Md Nor, Treasurer; and Committee Members Encik Haji Habeeb Rahman bin Kamarul Zaman; Puan Farah Izati binti Abd Rahman; Puan Che Asbah binti Yakob; Mr. Liew Zhi Sern and Mr. Shane David. The dialog meeting commenced with opening address by ACP Mohd Asri bin Shafie and the self-introduction of all DLC Members in attendance. The official handover of the Letters of Appointment as DLC Members of SPU for the Term of Office (2023-2025) then followed. A short refreshment break saw the interactions of the DLC Members present and the Police personnel in attendance. Amongst key concerns were the issues of SCAMs and Drug Abuse and Misuse in SPU. The OCPD expressed his wish that MCPF SPU DLCC will support and play a vital role in helping to promote Crime Awareness and play a part in curbing crimes in the District.
