MCPF SPS DLC attends PDRM led Engagement Meeting with Indian Community of Ladang Kaledonia

An Engagement Meeting between the South Seberang Perai District Police Chief and the Indian Community of Ladang Kalidonia took place on 5th October 2025 at Arulmigu Annai Maha Mariaman Temple Hall, Nibong Tebal. The program, organized by the Royal Malaysia Police (PDRM) Seberang Perai Selatan, aimed to strengthen the relationship between the police and the local community. The event was graced by YDH Superintendent Jay January Siowou, District Police Chief of Seberang Perai Selatan, along with division heads, the Officer-in-Charge of Nibong Tebal Police Station, and Mr. Jagen a/l Tanimalai, Chairman of Arulmigu Annai Maha Mariaman Temple. Awareness talks were delivered by:

• Insp Mani Raj a/l Muniandy – “Scammer” Awareness Talk

• Insp Saravanan a/l Gunasekaran – “Bullying and Gangsterism” Talk

• ASP Mazira binti Ismail – Briefing on the AMANITA Program

In his speech, the District Police Chief emphasized the importance of cooperation between the police and the community in combating crime, particularly online scams, bullying, and gangsterism among youth. He also urged residents to act as the “eyes and ears” of the police in maintaining safety and harmony in their area.

The event also featured certificate and contribution presentations to students, as well as tokens of appreciation to supporting parties. Among those present were Mejar Bersekutu (PA) M. Paramaguru Balan, Chairman of MCPF Seberang Perai Selatan, and Mr. Cheong Yu Hoo, MCPF SPS Committee Member. The program concluded with a group photo session, reflecting the spirit of unity and cooperation between the police and the multiracial community of Ladang Kalidonia.
