MCPF Barat Daya District Liaison Committee Chairman Mr. James Mohan chaired the Southwest DLC Meeting #1/2026 at Penang Golf Club Board Room on Saturday 14th February 2026 from 11:00 am to 12:00 noon.
In Attendance were: 1. Mr. James Mohan / Chairman; 2. Mr. William Hoe Chin Khwan / Vice-Chairman II; 3. Mr. Selva Pichaimuthu / Secretary; 4. Mr. Gideon Lau Sing Kwang / Treasurer; 5. Mr. Thomas Devasagayam / Committee Member; 6. Mr. Nicholas Chang Gim Hooi / Committee Member; 7. Mr. Prabu Mogan / Committee Member; 8. Pn. Nadzirah Omar / Committee Member; and, 9. Pn. Arina Mohamed Ali / Committee Member.
SUMMARY:
The DLC continued to play an active role in strengthening community safety, promoting crime prevention awareness and fostering collaboration with stakeholders like PDRM, JPN, AADK, MCPF SLC and other crime prevention agencies throughout 2025.
20 programs / activities were carried out at District level and 21 working in tandem with MCPF SLC.
DLC DBD remains committed to stronger partnership with schools, colleges, Universities, AADK and PDRM as well other crime prevention related agencies.
4 impactful programs have been lined up and will be made known when the time is right.
Special Note:
James Mogan took the opportunity to introduce the members to Y.Bhg. Dato’ Seri Ong Poh Eng (MCPF Penang Chairman) followed by a group photograph to further lighten up the Chinese New Year atmosphere before the social lunch.
