MCPF Barat Daya DLC Chairman Mr. James Mohan accompanied by DLC Member Mr. Nicholas Chang Gim Hooi made a Courtesy Call to YB Dato’ Dr. Mohamad bin Abdul Hamid, Timbalan Ketua Menteri I, Pulau Pinang (Penang Deputy Chief Minister I) who is also the Ahli Dewan Undangan Negeri (State Assemblyman) for the Batu Maung State Constituency at the Batu Maung ADUN Service Centre on Wednesday 18th February 2026 from 11:30 am to 12:30 pm. Also in Attendance was Encik Mohd Suhairi Abdullah, MBPP Council Member.
SUMMARY:
The purpose of the courtesy call was to enhance cooperation in crime prevention initiatives between MCPF, PDRM and Batu Maung Constituency. Views were exchanged to identify key challenges and explore collaborative efforts to strengthen crime prevention at Batu Maung.
School based programmes on contemporary crime issues and community related programmes like substance abuse will be further discussed progressively.
For a start YB Dato’ Dr. Mohamad bin Abdul Hamid suggested to organize a school level crime prevention programme at SMK Batu Maung after Hari Raya Puasa.
James Mohan also took the opportunity to give YB an overview of MCPF.
