A Casual Chat (Sembang Santai) was conducted between SMK Guar Perahu, Bukit Mertajam and MCPF Seberang Perai Tengah District Liaison Committee when the latter paid a Courtesy Visit to the school on Friday 31st July 2026 from 9:30 am to 11:00 am.

In attendance for this dialogue session were: 1. Encik Ridzuan Md Zain, Interim Chairman, MCPF SPT DLC; 2. Encik Razalan Muhammad Zain, Interim District Liaison Committee Member, SPT; 3. Cik Haslina Kamaron, School Principal, SMK Guar Perahu; 4. Puan Haslina Hassan – Pelatih Perantis NPQEL [Apprentice Trainee, National Professional Qualification for Educational Leaders]; 5. Encik Anuar Effendi bin Mat Saad – Pegawai Kanan Hal Ehwal Murid (PK HEM) [Senior Student Affairs Officer].

Key Objectives covered encompass:  1. Discussion and strategic partnership between the School and MCPF; 2. Enhancement of a program in preventive measures taken toward the menace of bullying in the school and the disciplinary misconduct in the school;  3. To raise awareness to the students on the importance of avoiding dangerous acts and negative impacts from bullying.
Implementation steps discussed included: 1. Orientation and knowledge sharing about the roles of MCPF. 2. Proposal of a discussion and program in crime prevention in the school. 3. Sharing ideas in strengthening the bond and cooperation between the school and MCPF.

Expected Impact: 1. Strengthening Strategic Cooperation between the school and MCPF; 2. Opening opportunities in implementing awareness to eradicate or reduce crime being done by the students. 3. Supporting the initiative and creating a conducive, safe environment and crime-free school. Conclusion: This was a Proactive, positive and productive discussion solidifying an already strong partnership between SMK Guar Perahu and MCPF SPT DLC.
