In collaboration with the School of Social Sciences and Security Department, Universiti Sains Malaysia, MCPF Penang organized a “Security Workshop on Surveillance Detection: Counter Terrorism Strategies.”
This two-day Interactive Workshop was held at the Dewan Budaya, Universiti Sains Malaysia, Penang on March 8th and 9th, 2016. The key objectives of the workshop included creating and increasing awareness on terrorism, identifying potential terror threats, deterring and detecting potential terrorist strategies and acquiring surveillance detection skills and risk management.
All papers were developed and delivered by selected MCPF Penang State Liaison Committee Members. The Official Opening and Address was by YDH CP Dato’ Abdul Ghafar bin Rajab, Chief Police Officer of Penang and the Closing Ceremony was officiated by YDH SAC Yong Lei Choo, Head of Special Branch, IPK Penang.
