MCPF Barat Daya DLC Chairman James Mohan accompanied by DLC Treasurer Puan Nadzirah Omar and DLC Member Prabu Mogan met up with Encik Hassan bi Din, Headmaster of SMK Pondok Upeh; Puan Siti Aishah binti Hassan, Senior Assistant – Student Affairs; and, Discipline Teachers from 11 Secondary Schools of the South-West District to engage in detailed planning for the forthcoming Pidato (Oratory) Competition (7^th May 2024) for Secondary Schools of Barat Daya with the chosen Theme “Ancaman Penyalahgunaan Dadah dan Kaedah Pencegahan” (Threats of Drug Abuse and  Prevention Methods. James Mohan is the Chairman of this Organizing Committee in a program that is a collaborative effort of MCPF Barat Daya DLC with the National Anti-Drug Agency / Agensi Anti-Dadah Kebangsaan (AADK) Daerah Barat Daya and the South-West District Education Office / Pejabat Pendidikan Daerah (PPD) Barat Daya. The Key Objectives of this program which will cover 11 Secondary Schools of Barat Daya is to 1. Ensure school students understanding in greater depth on the dangers of drug abuse; 2. Educate students and community on drug abuse prevention methods which can be emulated individually, by family and society; and, 3. Increase the self-awareness and self-responsibilities on drug abuse prevention. The eleven schools that will be involved in this worthwhile program include SMK Seri Balik Pulau; SMK Pondok Upeh; SMK Sacred Heart; SMK Seri Bayu; SMK Telok Kumbar; SMK Telok Bahang; SMK Bayan Lepas; SMK Batu Maung; SMK Sungai Ara; SMK Raja Tun Uda; and, SMK Maahad Al Mashoor Al Islami.
