MCPF Barat Daya DLC Chairman James Mohan participated in the Design Thinking Workshop organized by the National Anti-Drug Agency / Agensi Anti-Dadah Kebangsaan (AADK) South-West District in conjunction with the ‘Greening’ Program at High Risk Drug Addiction Areas. This year, AADK Penang focus is on Mukim 12, Barat Daya District. The Workshop at Hotel Seri Malaysia, Bayan Lepas on 24^th January 2024 was officiated by YBrs. Tuan Mohd Hfiz Azwad bin Nasri, District Officer of Barat Daya. The main objective of this Design Thinking Workshop was to establish Programs and Activities working in cognizance with AADK, PDRM, MCPF and other Agencies to make Mukim 12, Barat Daya a ‘Green’ Area free from Drugs. The Penang State Government is fully funding this Program and there are eight different segments of focus. MCPF Barat Daya DLC together with PDRM Insp Fairdaus; OCS Bayan Lepas, Insp. Anirul / Narcotics, DBD; Puan Balkis of AADK and Encik Danial of JPNIN will ne spearheading the ‘Keselamatan’ Segment. James Mohan has been selected as this Team’s Team Leader. The Team will focus on 3 main programs namely: 1. SRS – Skim Rondaan Sukarela; 2. Joint Operations in Drug Awareness and Prevention; and, Crime Prevention ‘Pidato’ Competition amongst Secondary Schools in the Southwest District.  Four targeted areas have been identifies including Bukit Gedung; Sungai Ara; Batu Maung and Permatang Damar Laut.
