In a series of Facebook postings, WCC Penang published its Quad Lingual sharing on “Signs a Child is affected by Online Violence”. This is a positive follow-up initiative involving MCPF and WCC that was facilitated by MCPF Penang. The Quad lingual postings were published on May 05th 2023 (English); May 12th 2023 (Bahasa Malaysia); May 19th 2023 (Mandarin) and May 16th 2020 (Tamil). The key message was that it is important for parents and educators to be alert to identify children who are affected by online violence. The five critical signs include the child being nervous or emotional when online; being withdrawn from family and friends; showing changes in mood, sleep or appetite; being very secretive or protective of their digital life and putting a stop to their using of their electronic devices.
