
January 2024 witnessed changes in OCPDs in three out of five Penang OCPDs with ‘Handing Over’ Ceremonies being held on 15th January 2024 (Timur Laut & Seberang Perai Selatan) and 24th January 2024 (Seberang Perai Tengah). All three ceremonies were witnessed by YDH CP Dato’ Khaw Kok Chin, Chief Police Officer of Penang. YDH ACP Razlam bin Ab Hamid is effective 15th Jan 2024 the new Timur Laut OCPD taking over from Acting OCPD YDH Supt. Savaranan a/l Velu. YDH Supt. Ng Ah Thiam handed over to his Deputy OCPD YDH DSP Mohd. Norazmi bin Abd Ghapar who assumes his duties as Acting OCPD effective 15th Jan 2024. YDH ACP Tan Cheng San, outgoing OCPD Seberang Perai Tengah handed over to incoming OCPD YDH Helmi bin Aris on 24th Jan 2024. YDH Helmi bin Aris, outgoing Deputy HOD, Crime Prevention and Community Safety (Operations) for IPK P. Pinang sees his previous post handed over to YDH ACP Tan Cheng San. MCPF Penang welcomes the new Deputy HOD JPJKK Pulau Pinang and the three DLCs (Timur Laut, SPS and SPT) welcomes on board the respective new OCPDs and looks forward to continued collaborative and cooperative teamwork. MCPF Penang would like to thank ACP Helmi bin Aris all the previous OCPDs for the past support.
