
Seminar bagi Guru-guru SJKT tentang Pendidikan Keganasan Dan Pencegahan Gangguan Seksual Kanak-kanak (Seminar on the Education of Anti-Violence and Prevention of Child Sexual Harassment for SJKT School Teachers) was a Program Jointly Organized by: Royal Malaysia Police Penang Contingent, Penang State Education Department (JPNPP), Malaysia Crime Prevention Foundation (MCPF) Penang, and, Women’s Centre for Change (WCC) Penang held on Wednesday, 28th May 2025 / 8:30 am to 1:30 pm at the Penang Golf Club, Bukit Jambul, Penang.
The Overall Summary of over 90 Attendees included: 1. 44 SJKT School Teachers from 30+ SJKT Schools; 2. JPJKK Police Officers from IPK Pulau Pinang / IPDs; 3. JPNPP / PPD Staff; 4. MCPF Penang; and, 5. WCC Staff.

PDRM P. Pinang in attendance were: 1. YDH SAC Puspanathan a/l Wiresingam, HOD JPJKK (Crime Prevention & Community Safety); 2. YDH Supt. Dr. Ganesan a/l Chinapan, Deputy HOD (Operations), JPJKK; 3. 11. Session on ‘Scam Awareness QR Code (Mini-App Infographics) and Posters by JM Tan;
12. Interactive Dialogue / Q&A with the audience by James Mohan;
13. Closing Address by YDH SAC Puspanathan a/l Wiresingam.

Quick Highlights:
1. A short program to reach out to SJKT Teachers on the subject matter.
2. Participants also learned more about MCPF;
3. Dato’ Seri Ong Poh Eng stressed in his own life story, and underlined the key roles of Teachers in molding the future talents and leaders of the students under their care. He also stated MCPF’s commitment to work with the partners in this Program (PDRM, JPNPP, WCC) and others to raise awareness on Crime Prevention;
4. Ms Mangleswary shared her real life case studies in her work experiences at WCC;
5. Tuan Fadzil Sadikin emphasized on the SOP requirements that Teachers must follow when dealing with Sexual Harassment cases. He also reminded that schools must display / use and reach out wrt Scam Awareness QR Code Posters passed on to the Schools;
6. Participants had a better understanding of the laws governing sexual issues and the rights / roles of teachers in the sharing by ASP Nalini Narkayeh;
7. The audience benefitted from having a ‘Hands On’ experience of using the Scam Awareness QR Code (Mini-App Infographics) facilitated by JM Tan;
8. It was a positive process to gauge the awareness and learnings of the audience from this program in the short interactive session by James Mohan. 9. In his Closing Speech Tuan SAC Puspanathan expressed profound appreciation to JPNPP / PPD, MCPF Penang and WCC for their concerted efforts to ensure success in this program. He underlined that the PDRM School Liaison Officers (PPS), JPJKK and Amanita division to help address sexual abuse / harassment issues.
