MCPF Penang successfully held a SCAM Poster Launching Program / Event at Kompleks Bukit Jambul on 3^rd September 2022. Dato’ Ong Poh Eng, (Chairman, MCPF Penang); YB Phee Boon Poh Penang State EXCO – Environment and Welfare); Y.Bhg. Dato’ Seri Ayub bin Yaakob (Senior Vice-Chairman, MCPF); Y.Bhg. Dato’ Mohamad Anil Shah, Chairman CCPSS); Y.Bhg. Dato’ Seri K. This Program was organized by MCPF Penang in collaboration with PDRM and the Penang State Government. The main objective is to heighten public awareness on the growing menace of SCAMs that is impacting the public from all walks of life impacting individuals and families. Dato’ Ong Poh Eng in delivering the Welcoming and Opening address reminded that the public must always remain vigilant about SCAMs. Dato’ Haji Abdul Halim bin Haji Hussein delivered the keynote address on behalf of YAB Tuan Chow Kon Yeow. He emphasized that with technology changes, world driven by data / internet, social media and ongoing global turmoil, SCAMs have become pervasive. Program highlights included Video clips from PDRM on SCAMs; Exhibition Booths by PDRM, AADK and MCPF and an interactive Quiz session with the over 200 attendees. Kudos to the Organizing Committee for their committed focus and teamwork to ensure success in this launching. The challenging journey continues!
