
A busy week for MCPF Penang culminated in its State Liaison Committee holding its 4th Annual Retreat on Strategic Planning at the Penang Golf Club, Golf View Room, Bukit Jambul on Saturday 26th January 2019. Chairman Y.Bhg. Dato’ Seri Syed Jaafar Syed Ali thanked all SLC Members who had taken their time off amidst their busy schedule to review 2018’s performance and brainstorm on 2019’s plans for various SLC and DLC Crime Prevention and Awareness Programs, Activities and Events. District Liaison Committees shared their own ‘Report Cards’ on their performance levels versus their 2018 plans. This Annual (Strategic) Retreat is the 4th held and the venue was a change of scenery from that of the first 3 Annual retreats held at Hard Rock Hotel in Batu Ferringhi.

Pulayantran, Vice-Chairman (II) Rosli Mohamed Ali, Treasurer Harikumar Katherasen, SLC Member / Timur Laut DLC Chairman JM Tan, SLC Member / SPU DLC Chairman Munusamy Muniandy, SLC Member Lion Choo Eng Hin, SLC Member Kapt. (PAB) Paramguru Balan Moghan, SLC Member Yazid bin Razali and ex-Officio Member YDH Supt. Saw Hock Tek (Staff Officer – Community Policing, Crime Prevention and Community Safety Department, RMP, Penang). 2019 is envisaged to be a challenging year and members were advised to practice frugality, heightened their fund-raising pursuit and ensure that their Crime Prevention and Awareness programs reaches all demography and communities.
