MCPF Penang / Seberang Perai SPT DLC received an invitation from Pertubuhan Kebajikan Sneham Malaysia (Sneham Welfare Organization Malaysia) to deliver talks with regards to Crime Prevention Awareness to 70 Primary school students (Standard 4, 5 and 6) at Sekolah Jenis Kebangsaan Tamil Ladang Pyre, Seberang Perai. Also in attendance were the Co-curriculum Teacher and Chairman of the School’s Parent-Teacher Association (PIBG). The topics covered included ‘Student Discipline: Roles of Parents and Aspirations / Future Directions of Students. This supported the Key Objective of awareness to the students and Healthy Living without Crime. The two speakers from MCPF were Y.Bhg. Dato’ M. Kaleessvaran, SLC Member and Encik Ridzuan Md Zain, Chairman, MCPF SPT DLC. The Main Speaker was Dato’ Dr. Florence Manoranjitham Sinniah, Founder and President of Sneham Welfare Association Malaysia. Sneham’s School Outreach Program aims to connect with local schools and create awareness of mental health, challenges faced by students, tips on coping skills, and platforms to seek help. MCPF Penang welcomes the opportunity to collaborate with this NGO which was founded in 2018.
