MCPF SPS DLC led by its Chairman Mr. Paramaguru Balan Moghan participated in a PDRM IPD SPS MERDEKA ‘WALKABOUT’ Program headed by the OCPD YDH Supt. Jay January Siowou. Lions Club Penang Milleninium was also involved in this Community Outreach Program at CMART Nibong Tebal Supermarket that was successfully held on Friday 29th August 2025 from 11:00 am till completion. The Primary Objectives of this meaningful 68th Merdeka Day Celebration were well met. The Program helped to: 1. Strengthen relations between the police, MCPF, NGOs, and the community through people-friendly engagement in public areas; 2. Increase public trust in the Royal Malaysia Police (PDRM) through the presence of officers and personnel on the ground together with NGO participation; 3. Provide awareness on crime prevention measures, especially to supermarket visitors and operators; 4. Identify local safety and security issues through engagement sessions with supermarket management and the public; 5. Foster strategic cooperation between the police / MCPF / NGOs, the community, and supermarket operators in efforts to maintain public safety and security; and, 6. Highlight the open and community-friendly image of PDRM in line with the concept of “The Police and the Community are Inseparable”.
