MCPF Seberang Perai Tengah DLC Chairman Ridzuan Md Zain participated in a Parenting Skills Program “Ibubapa Cool Anak Hebat” at Sekolah Rendah Islam Bahrul Ulum, Mengkuang, SPT on 4^th November 2023. The welcoming address was delivered by Ustaz Ahmad Rafaei Abdul Rasid, a student of SRIBU. In attendance were Tuan Izram Yani, Deputy Chairman, Parents and Teachers Council; Teachers and Parents of the students of the school. The three speakers and their respective topics were: 1. Ridzuan Md Zain who spoke on “Motivational Grooming to be a Role Model Parent”; 2. Afizi Hafiz bin Abd. Halim, Registered Counsellor, PERDA who shared his thoughts the Main Theme “Ibubapa Cool Anak Hebat”; and, Zulfadli Ahmad bin Ahmad Zakaria, AADK Officer (Preventive Unit) Penang who talked about “Prevention is better than cure – Drug Menace”. This program was organized by MCPF SPT DLC, AADK Penang and AADK SPT District with the support of School Administrators of Sekolah Rendah Islam Bahrul Ulum, Mengkuang. The key objectives of this program included guidance and gaining knowledge on the issues of abuse / misuse of Social Media; gaining insights to be a good parent by having skills with integral knowledge on the current situation of children; and, to be aware of the present scenario, threats and trends of drug menace.
