It was a historical moment for PDRM Penang on 29th December 2017 at Dewan DRR, IPK P. Pinang when the ‘Passing of Baton’ Ceremony was conducted to officially hand over the duties of the Chief Police Officer of Penang from outgoing CPO YDH CP Datuk Wira Chuah Ghee Lye to incoming CPO YDH CP Dato’ A. Thaiveegan witnessed by an ex-(Penang State) CPO and current Bukit Aman Head of Integrity and Standards Compliance Department (Jabatan Integriti dan Pematuhan Standard [JIPS]) Director YDH CP Datuk Seri Abdul Rahim bin Hj. Hanafi. A year has flown by with YDH CP Datuk Wira Chuah’s tenure as our CPO. He will now have more precious moments with his wife Datin Wira Betty Kang and his two children. More satisfying will be having even more wonderful time on the greens and fairways of golf courses.
MCPF Penang SLC Deputy Chairman Dato’ K. Pulayantran, Secretary EL Ching and SLC Members Dato’ Ong Poh Eng, Munusamy Muniandy and Paramguru Balan Moghan represented MCPF Penang State Liaison Committee in this official ceremony. MCPF Penang look forward to a continuing and long standing track record of MCPF Penang’s wonderful collaborative, cooperative and consultative partnership with the appointment of YDH CP Dato’ A. Thaiveegan in its various Crime Prevention Awareness Programs, Events and Activities in 2018 and beyond. May the symbiotic efforts with PDRM thrive at both State and District levels, especially so with MCPF Penang District Liaison Committees having been set up in 2017.
