A meeting was held onTuesday 17th June 2025 from 2:00 pm to 2:50 pm at the Management Office of Sunshine Central Mall to discuss on MCPF Penang & Timur Laut DLC support and participation in the upcoming Penang Lang Community Day at the Sunshine Central Mall on 28th / 29th June 2025.

In attendance were: 1. YBhg. Dato’ Seri Ong Poh Eng, Chairman, MCPF Penang; 2. YBhg. Dato’ Felix Chuah, Chairman, MCPF Timur Laut DLC; 3. Mr. Johnny Michael Tan, Secretary, MCPF Penang; 4. Mr. Dannis Khaw Haur Yhee, MCPF Timur Laut DLC Member; 5. Mr. Robert Teh, Founder / Administrator of Penang Walkabouts cum Organizing Chairman of Penang Lang Community Day 2025; 6. Mr. Bryan Wong, Group Manager, Marketing Communications, Sunshine Central; 7. Ms. Cheow Ling Ling, Senior Executive, Marketing Communications, Sunshine Central; 8. Mr. Nicholas Tan Wei Chian, Executive, Marketing Communications, Sunshine Central; 9. Sgt. Mej. Mohd Ghazali bin Md. Shuib, JPJKK IPD Timur Laut; and 10. Kpl. Rahman bin Hassan, JPJKK IPD Timur Laut. Brief Summary: 1. The Meeting kicked off with a quick note of thanks from Sunshine Central Marketing Communications welcoming and thanking MCPF and PDRM for their presence; 2. The “Penang Lang Community Day 2025” Program will be held over the weekend of 28th/29th June 2025 at the Main Atrium of Sunshine Central Mall; 3. Guest of Honor will be YAB Tuan Chow Kon Yeow, CM of Penang. VIP will include the Co-Organizer YB Joseph Ng Soon Siang, State Assemblyman, Air Itam; 4. Dato’ Seri Ong Poh Eng expressed that MCPF Penang working together with PDRM would like to play its part in reaching out to the Penang public to be better informed about crime prevention and in particular to focus on Scam Awareness; 5. Dato’ Seri Ong updated that MCPF Penang would like to have the PDRM Pulau Pinang – MCPF Penang Scam Awareness QR Code Posters to be extensively posted in all Supermarkets, Hypermarkets and Malls. Sunshine Central Mall will be amongst these locations alongside other Sunshine outlets; 6. JM Tan shared a verbal overview of the origins, structure and mission of MCPF; 7. The organizers will provide MCPF Penang exhibition booth space for the two days; 8. A half hour segment has been requested to allow MCPF to brief crowd participants on the SCAM Awareness QR Code Mini-App Infographics / Poster.
