
A “Police and Security Forces Workshop for Units Deployed on The Border” was officiated and opened by YDH SAC Dato’ Mohamad Anil Shah, Head of Department, Crime Prevention and Community Safety, PDRM Penang on 17th July 2018 at the Bayview Hotel, Georgetown, Penang. Other VIPs in attendance were YBhg. Mr. Criostolpredder (Regional Delegation to Police Forces, International Committee of Red Cross [ICRC], Kuala Lumpur); YBhg. Puan Norma Abdul Hamid (Program Officer, ICRC Kuala Lumpur) and YDH Supt. Rizal bin Abdul Rahman Sidek (PT Pentadbiran Pengurusan IPK Pulau Pinang). 4 Officers and 6 Staff Members of the Training units of Bukit Aman / Penang were present together with 29 Workshop attendees included Senior Officers from the Police, Armed Forces and AKSEM. This workshop on Border Security helps to focus attention on cross border threats and challenges that may be causes for concerns on criminal activities permeating through our side of the country – an issue that has also been brought to the attention of MCPF, PDRM and other relevant authorities in the past.
