A Security Symposium of the Oversea Security Advisory Council (OSAC) was held in front of a packed house of over 80 participants at SanDisk (Western Digital), Batu Kawan on 5^th October 2017.
Organizing Chairman EL Ching, Vice-Chairman of OSAC, KL cum MCPF Penang Secretary / SPT DLC Chairman) delivered the short Welcoming Remarks.

Well renowned Criminologist Associate Professor Dr. P. Sundramoorthy shared vital insights into ‘Crime Perception’ as viewed by the general public.

Mr. Brian Cummings then briefed the audience on the role of the US Embassy’s Regional Security Officer (RSO).
This was followed by an enthralling sharing on Crime Trend in Penang by SAC Dato’ Mohamad Anil Shah, Head of the Crime Prevention and Community Safety Department of the Royal Malaysia Police, Penang Contingent cum MCPF Penang Vice-Chairman (I).

Supt Tan Cheng San (JPJKK, IPK Penang) took the stage to promote the use of Voluntary Smartphone Patrol (VSP) to the crowd of mainly Security practitioners from the industries. The short, yet effective symposium that had MCPF Penang SLC Member JM Tan as the Master of Ceremony, culminated with a Q&A session that had the distinguished panel of Mr. Brian Cummings, Dato’ Mohamad Anil Shah, MCPF Penang Chairman Dato’ Seri Syed Jaafar Syed Ali, Organizing Chairman EL Ching and MCPF Penang Deputy Chairman Dato’ K. Pulayantran.

Other MCPF Penang SLC Members in attendance also included Vice-Chairman (II) Rosli Mohamad Ali, Treasurer Harikumar Katherasen, SLC Members Rahumatullah Ibrahim, Maj. (H) M. Kaleessvaran, Munusamy Muniandy, Paramguru Balan Moghan and other DLC Members.
