It was an evening that the Indian Community of Taman Puteri Gunung, Simpang Ampat was particularly proud off as top brass from the Penang Police were present in a Prayer Ceremony at Kuil Sri Maha Mariamman on the evening of 4th May 2018. YDH CP Dato’ A. Thaiveegan, Chief Police Officer of Penang, was the guest of honor. Other top cops in attendance included YDH SAC Dato’ Mohamad Anil Shah – Head of Department of Crime Prevention and Community Safety cum MCPF Penang Vice-Chairman (I), YDH Supt. Shafee bin Abd Samad – OCPD of Seberang Perai Selatan, YDH DSP Shamsudin bin Mamat – Deputy OCPD of Seberang Perai Selatan.
MCPF Penang was represented by its Deputy Chairman cum SPS DLC Chairman YBhg. Dato’ K. Pulayantran. Also in attendance were Yang Berusaha Encik Nadarajan A/L Annamalai – Chairman of Kuil Sri Maha Mariamman and Yang Berusaha Encik Kanabathy A/L Nadaraja – Chairman of Kelab Beli Belia Tamil Negeri Pulau Pinang. CP Dato’ A. Thaiveegan who was accompanied by his wife YBhg. Datin Komodhi Dhanaraj (Chairperson of PERKEP Pulau Pinang) addressed the close to 200 crowd which in Police Officers and staff and Indian community. There was also a presentation of Buku Remaja Lakar Biru to Indian youths in attendance.
