Kudos to PDRM Penang and the Voting Citizens of Penang for a smooth, safe and secure GE-14

1. As briefed by YDH SAC Dato’ Mohamad Anil Shah during MCPF Penang SLC Meeting of 23rd April 2018, PDRM Penang provided its maximum support to ensure the smooth, safe and secure running of GE-14. In a Pre-GE-14 Press Conference held at the Pusat Media, IPK P. Pinang. YDH CP Dato’ A. Thaiveegan officially briefed the Press on the preparation by PDRM. Also present were YDH SAC Dato’ Mohamad Anil Shah, Head of Crime Prevention and Community Safety Department (cum MCPF Penang Vice-Chairman [I]), YDH ACP Zaitan bin Tasir (Head of Administration) and YDH ACP Baharom bin Abu (Deputy Head of JPJKK [Operations]). The Press was briefed that support would also be in place from Pasukan Simpanan Persekutuan Police (PSP), Sukarelawan Pauskun Polis (SPP) and RELA.


2. On election-day 9th May 2018, over 5,000 PDRM personnel were deployed in 310 voting centres in Penang state encompassing 1,669 voting stations. YDH CP Dato’ A. Thaiveegan held an official Press Conference at SMK Hj. Ahmad Badawi, Kepala Batas. He was accompanied by YDH DCP Dato’ Roslee bin Chik (Deputy CPO, Penang) and YDH SAC Dato’ Mohamad Anil Shah (Head of JPJKK Penang / MCPF Penang Vice-Chairman [I]). CP Dato’ A. Thaiveegan acknowledged and thanked Officers and staff from Bukit Aman and other external Police Contingents for their support in ensuring a smooth GE-14.


3. Diligence and dedication pays off! MCPF Penang would like to thank PDRM Penang Contingent for the generally trouble-free GE-14 which concluded without any serious incident in a peaceful and harmonious run up and during the election-day itself. Also present at this Post GE-14 Press Conference held at the Pusat Media, IPK P. Pinang were YDH DCP Roslee bin Chik (Deputy CPO, Penang). YDH SAC Dato’ Mohamad Anil Shah (Head of JPJKK, Penang), other Heads of Departments, Senior Police Officers and staff from PDRM Penang. CP Dato’ A. Thaiveegan thanked the voting public as well as members of the Press for the superb cooperation with the Authorities and 5,214 PDRM staff for their round-the-clock efforts during this historical GE-14.
