A Social Responsibility Event was successfully carried out by MCPF Penang on 26^th August 2021. This first of two events was undertaken to demonstrate MCPF’s concern for the needy during this time of pandemic uncertainty and struggle. In view of the high number of Covid-19 cases, this event was carried out with a controlled minimum participation. 150 bags of groceries was handed out to residents staying around the district of Barat Daya.

In the 1^st event held at IPD Daerah Barat Daya, Balik Pulau – James Mohan, MCPF Penang SLC Member cum Barat Daya DLC Chairman was accompanied by Barat Daya DLC Members Jarmy Goh Jiun Ming (Vice-Chairman [II]), Ponnalagu a/l Arumugam (Treasurer) and William Hoe Chin Khwan (Committee Member). On hand to receive the groceries on behalf of needy residents of Barat Daya were DSP Jafri bin Md Zain (Deputy OCPD DBD) and ASP Suhaimi bin Mat Rudin (Division Head, Crime Prevention and Community Safety, DBD cum MCPF Barat Daya DLC Vice-Chairman (II).
