A second Social Responsibility Event was successfully carried out by MCPF Penang on 27th August 2021. This second of two events was undertaken to show MCPF’s concern for the needy during this time of pandemic uncertainty and upheavals. In view of the high number of Covid-19 cases, this event was also carried out with a controlled minimum participation. 150 bags of groceries were handed out to residents staying around the districts of Barat Daya and Seberang Perai Selatan respectively.
In the 2nd event held at IPD Seberang Perai Selatan, Nibong Tebal – Paramaguru Balan Moghan, MCPF Penang SLC Member cum SPS DLC Chairman was accompanied by SPS DLC Members Maj. (Rtd) Wan Abdul Hamid (Vice-Chairman [II]), Arumugam a/l Rajoo (Secretary), ASP/PB Amirul bin Abdul Rahman (Treasurer), Visvaraj a/l Balasundram (Committee Member) and Bryan Chuah Jin Hooi (Committee Member). On hand to receive the groceries on behalf of needy residents of Seberang Perai Selatan were YDH Supt. Lee Chong Chern (OCPD, SPS), DSP Baeyah binti Abdul Wahab (Deputy OCPD, SPS), ASP Teoh Kean Wooi (Division Head, Special Branch DBD), ASP Govindarajan a/l M. Narayansamy (Division Head, Crime Investigation) and Insp. Suzie binti Ku Md Ariff (Division Head, Crime Prevention and Community Safety, SPS cum MCPF SPS DLC Vice-Chairman (I).
Again, sincere appreciation to the generosity of the friends of Y.Bhg. Dato’ Seri Syed Jaafar Syed Ali (Chairman, MCPF Penang) who also sponsored the groceries for this event.
