MCPF Penang Chairman Dato’ Seri Ong Poh Eng facilitates a ‘Breakfast Session’ to brainstorm 2026 MCPF Penang Focus Programs at Penang Golf Club

MCPF Penang Chairman Dato’ Seri Ong Poh Eng led and facilitated a Breakfast Session with MCPF SLC on Tuesday / 24th March 2026, 9:00 am till 11:30 am at the Sakurajima Restaurant, Penang Golf Club, Bukit Jambul.

Attendees included: 1. YBhg. Dato’ Seri Ong Poh Eng (Chairman); 2. YBhg. Dato’ Seri K. Pulayantran (Deputy Chairman); 3. Johnny Michael Tan (Secretary); 4. James Mohan (Barat Daya DLC Chairman); 5. Y.Bhg. Dato’ M. Kaleessvaran (Committee Member); 6. Joseph Sawaremuthu (Committee Member); 7. Dr. Kiew Hen Chong (Committee Member).

The main Objectives and Agenda covered included: 1. Welcome by Dato’ Seri Ong Poh Eng; 2. Focus on Crime Prevention efforts in 2026; 2.1 School Crime Prevention efforts covering existing project proposals and other JPNPP / PPD joint efforts including Anti Bullying, Gangsterism, KPJ; 2.2 SCAM Awareness ongoing pursuit. Open efforts outstanding and still in the pipeline; 2.3 Fund Raising avenues; 2.4 AADK Cooperation must continue; 2.5 Fellowship Dinner with YPJM Pulau Pinang (Penang based MCPF Members); 2.6 Orientation program for MCPF Members (new / as appropriately identified); 2.7 Other crucial programs and continuity with MCPF Penang Strategic Partners to be discussed accordingly; 2.8 Anticipate due announcement by MCPF Federal / Secretariat on next MCPF AGM. (Once announced, a separate meeting will be held to discuss Logistics etc.); Ad-hoc Meeting will be called once AGM Date has been officially communicated by the MCPF Secretariat;

The meeting concluded at 11:30 am.

Some attendees who had stayed on had the opportunity to meet up with PDRM IPK PP JPJKK officers. YDH ACP Dr. Ganesan Chinapan had dropped in to meet up with Dato’ Seri Ong Poh Eng to introduce YDH Supt. Elanggowan Kobarajah who had taken over the portfolio of PDRM IPK PP JPJKK (Operasi) from YDH Supt. Lim Chun How (transferred to Cheras). Conclusion: It was a good discussion session. More details and practical steps will be discussed during the 9th April 2026 SLC Meeting.
