MCPF Penang Chairman YBhg. Dato’ Seri Ong Poh Eng chaired a ‘Focus Meeting’ on SCAM QR Code (Mini-App Infographics) Launch on Thursday 10th Oct 2024 at PGC. Also in attendance were: YBhg. Dato’ Seri K. Pulayantran (Deputy Chairman); Mr. JM Tan (Secretary); Mr. James Mohan (Barat Daya DLC Chairman); Mr. Paramaguru Balan Moghan (SPS DLC Chairman); Encik Ridzuan Md Zain (SPT DLC Chairman); Mr. Munusamy Muniandy (SPU DLC Chairman); Mr. Joseph Sawaremuthu (Committee Member); and, Dr. Kiew Hen Chong (Committee Member). It was a productive meeting where Mr. JM Tan updated all present on what had transpired in the meeting with PDRM on the subject matter at IPK P. Pinang on 3rd October 2024. Dato’ Seri Ong Poh Eng iterated how important this SCAM QR Code (Mini-App Infographics) Launch is and that the SLC Committee and DLCs must give their utmost support. He stated that we have to work closely in tandem with all stakeholders / targeted audiences to have a committed role in the fight against SCAMs. Yet another step to the eventual Launch.
