MCPF Penang honored its Honorary Advisor YDH CP Dato’ Seri A. Thaiveegan (outgoing Penang State Chief Police Officer) in a Farewell Lunch at Sarkies Restaurant, E&O Hotel, on 6th January 2019. MCPF Penang State Chairman Y.Bhg. Dato’ Seri Syed Jaafar Syed Ali expressed MCPF Penang’s heartfelt appreciation for the warmth, close knit professional working relationship and splendid successes in various Crime Prevention Awareness efforts throughout CP Dato’ Seri A. Thaiveegan’s tenure of office in Penang, not only in his current CPO duties but also previously as the Deputy CPO of Penang. Reciprocally, CP Dato’ A. Thaiveegan was full of praise for MCPF Penang’s symbiotic links with RMP Penang Contingent in helping to play its part in reducing Penang’s crime rate.

Dato’ Seri Syed Jaafar Syed Ali presented a wonderful album that captured the memorable moments of MCPF Penang’s recent October 2018 Study Visit of the Jakarta Metro Police.All MCPF Penang State Liaison Committee Members including ex-Officio Members from the Chief Government Security Office, State Education Department, MBPP and MPSP were honored by the CP Dato’ A. Thaiveegan with Letters of Appreciation. Also present at this simple yet meaningful gathering was USM’s Associate Professor Dr. P. Sundramoorthy, ex-Deputy Chairman of MCPF Penang and currently a close ally and advocate.
