MCPF SPS DLC participates in a PDRM & KRT Taman Cenderawasih Community Dialogue at KRT Hall, Taman Cenderawasih, Nibong Tebal

A Productive and Interactive Meeting was held between PDRM and KRT Taman Cenderawasih, Nibong Tebal on 18 May 2025 (Sunday) at 0900 hrs until completion. This Community focused Event was held at the KRT Hall, Taman Cenderawasih, Nibong Tebal, Pulau Pinang. PDRM in Attendance were: 1. ASP Mazira binti Ismail, KBPJKKD; 2. ASP Rusli b. Tipu, OCS Balai Polis Nibong Tebal; 3. Insp Norhazah Faridah Hanim bt. Zulkifli, BSJD; 4. Insp Muhammad Sufyan b. Ahmad Kamal, BSJKD; 5. Insp Muhammad Helmi b. Zainudin, KC OPP/KSS, BPJKKD; 6. Five other PDRM Personnel. MCPF SPS DLC Attendance: 1. Mr. Paramaguru Balan Moghan (Chairman; 2. Mr. Arumugam Rajoo, Deputy Chairman; 3. Mr. Cheong Yu Hoo (Committee Member); 4. Mr. Komagan Lingam (Committee Member); and, 5. Mr. Ng Seng Hing (Treasurer). KRT Attendance: 1. Mr. Abdul Halim b. Lazim, Chairman, KRT Taman Cenderawasih; 2. Forty KRT members and residents of Taman Cenderawasih

    Summary of Discussion / Activities: 1. This joint program with KRT aimed to provide exposure, awareness, and knowledge regarding crime incidents and the negative impacts that can occur within residential areas. The core briefing focused on violent and property crimes, fraud and scam-related cases, and crime prevention strategies. The talk provided proactive approaches to preventing crime, with safety tips for residents to avoid and overcome crime threats; 2. The session continued with an interactive Q&A between residents and representatives from PDRM and MCPF; 3. Crime prevention brochures were distributed as part of efforts to curb crime, especially within housing areas; 4. The PDRM Penang – MCPF Penang Scam Awareness QR Code Poster was also displayed at this KRT Hall. Remarks: The meeting with KRT Taman Cenderawasih proceeded smoothly. We hope that close collaboration between PDRM, MCPF, and the KRT/SRS of each residential area in the SPS district will continue in order to establish SPS as a safe and secure district.
