The 23rd MCPF AGM was held on Saturday March 26th 2016 at Dewan Sultan Ahmad Shah, Maktab PDRM Kuala Lumpur, Cheras.  MCPF Penang is pleased to note that 7 State Liaison Committee Members and another 9 Ordinary Members were in attendance. The AGM was graced by MCPF Chairman YAB Dato’ Seri Dr. Zahid Hamidi, Deputy PM and Minister of Home Affairs who delivered the Keynote Address.  In his address, he stressed that Crime Prevention and Awareness efforts to be through collaborative efforts by the Royal Malaysia Police together with NGOs like Malaysia Crime Prevention Foundation.  He also underlined that going forward, with increased funding from the Federal Government for 2016, MCPF will be further enhanced through the setting up of MCPF District Liaison Committees mirroring 157 Police Districts nationwide.  He urged all MCPF Members to be committed and work as a TEAM.  Members present were also updated that a special EGM would be called shortly to discuss and finalize key amendments to the existing MCPF Constitution.

MCPF Penang would like to also congratulate YBhg Dato’ Ong Poh Eng for being re-elected to serve in MCPF EXCO for the 2016-2018 Term of Office as well as Associate Professor Dr. P. Sundramoorthy for having been re-appointed as an ex-officio MCPF EXCO representing the Academia for the 3rd consecutive Term of Office.
